AY celebrated 20 fabulous years of publication on the evening of May 15 at Loca Luna in Little Rock, Arkansas. A crowd of about 150 jovial wellwishers joined Publisher Vicki Vowell and the AY staff for an evening of delicious food, upbeat jazz provided by The Forefront Quartet and great conversation.
One of the highlights of the day was the declaration of May 15, 2008 as “AY Day”and the presence of Arkansas’ First Lady Ginger Beebe. Guests received special commemorative 20th anniversary stemless wineglasses — inscribed with “here’s to the bottom line” — as mementos as we toasted the first 20 years and looked forward to the next.
